Flowers


I keep meaning to blog about the concept of artist dates, but I suspect that will be a long post. In the meantime, let me just say that today I went to the botanical garden by myself, and it was glorious. I've gone several times, but always with Ben. When I take him places with me, I always focus part of my attention on him: Will he start to fuss? Will he need a snack? Will he tumble into the lake? But by myself, I was free to be meditative--to listen to the fountains, to pause when the breeze shifted and blew the sweetness of the rose garden, to sit on a bench and close my eyes.
