The Price of Peacemaking

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that four Americans with the Christian Peacemaker Teams have been kidnapped in Iraq. I grew up Quaker, and I have the utmost respect for people who are willing to risk their lives to work for peace. It's one thing to say you're against the war; it's another to put your life on the line for what you do believe in.

I'm sad to see that the kidnappings in Iraq are on the upswing again. The insurgents have killed so many people who are trying to do productive work in Iraq....
