Samuel Alito, Juggler

Now that the Supreme Court hearings have started for Samuel Alito, we can look forward to interminable questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee, followed by vague and careful answers from Alito. Today, Arlen Specter tried to figure out where the nominee stands on abortion, and Sen. Edward Kennedy gave him a hard time about a ruling regarding strip-searching a 10-year-old.

In more entertaining news, Alito's wife sat for an interview with the Washington Post over the weekend and revealed some little-known facts about the nominee: He juggles, he cooks salmon pate, and he once attended a ska music festival! You can read her insights about her husband here.
