Balloon Race

Over the weekend we went to the Forest Park Balloon Race, which has now become an annual family tradition.

We watched as the balloons inflated...


... and then launched into the sky.





Most of them stayed within the park,

but some of them rose up very high.


The weather was perfect: clear and not too hot.



We could still see two distant balloons hovering over the city as we took the Metro home.
